Prayer & Meditation

Prayer & Meditation

Beloved, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours. – Jesus, in Mark 11:24

In Unity, we say that, when we pray, we talk to God. When we meditate, we listen to God. Both are spiritual practices encouraged in Unity.

Unity is a ministry founded on the power of prayer. It was through prayer that our co-founders, Charles and Myrtle Fillmore, received significant and seemingly miraculous healings. Prayer always has been central to Unity and to our ministry.

If you are experiencing circumstances in your life, or in the life of a loved one, that calls out for prayer, please fill out a prayer request any Sunday during our service, and we will add you to our prayer list, or use our online prayer request form.

Our Prayer Team will pray daily for your request for 30 days and then send the request to Silent Unity, our movement’s worldwide prayer ministry in Unity Village, Missouri, for an additional 30 days of powerful prayer.

Should you be in the hospital and want someone to call you and/or pray with you, please call the church at 000-000-0000.

Whether you are already an important part of our spiritual family or not, we consider it a blessing to pray with you.

Want someone to pray with you right now?

You can reach Silent Unity, our movement’s worldwide prayer ministry, any time of the night or day by calling 1-800-669-7729. Every request to Silent Unity also is kept confidential and receives loving, compassionate attention.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13

The Prayer for Protection
The light of God surrounds me;
The love of God enfolds me;
The power of God protects me;
The presence of God watches over me.
Wherever I am, God is!

The Prayer for Protection was written by the late James Dillet Freeman, poet laureate of the Unity movement and director of Silent Unity, Unity’s worldwide prayer ministry.
